Basic Bath

The Basic Bath is designed for pets that only need the basics done. Excellent for short haired breeds or for those who just need a bath. This includes a hydrobath, brush and blow out of loose hair, nail trim and ear clean.

Full Groom

This package is the full service grooming package, it includes a bath, brush-out, nail trim, ear cleaning, sanitary trim, and a full haircut to your specifications.

Shavedown*

Generally reserved for severely matted pets that have no other option than to be shaved to rid their coat of mats. Please be advised that mats are not only a cosmetic issue, severe matting is extremely uncomfortable and unhealthy for your pet. This package includes a bath, shavedown, nail trim, and ear clean.

Tidy-up

For those pets that need special treatment in between grooms to help them look and feel their best all year round. The tidy up is scheduled in between regular grooms and consists of a bath, brush out, sanitary trim, light trim of feet and face, nail trim, ear clean.

Double Coat Groom Out

For dogs whose coat is packed with dead hair & shedding undercoat, it includes hydrobath to clean dog and loosen packed hair, high velocity dry which lifts out the excess dead hair and undercoat, brush out of any remaining shedding hair, trim and tidy feathers feet, nail trim, ear clean.

Additional Fees*

Flea & Tick Treatment

Any dog that has fleas or ticks will be subject to a $5.00 fee added to their pets groom.

Matted Pet Fee

Severely matted pets will be subject to an additional $5.00 - $15.00 depending on the severity. Removing mats from a severely matted pet is very time consuming and a pet is more at risk for nicks, cuts, and skin irritation. Matting can also hide underlying medical and /or skin problems that may not be noticeable until the matting is removed. We always use the utmost care to safely remove any mats that are present on your pet.

Aggressive Pet Fee

An additional $5.00 - $10 fee can be added for pets that are overly aggressive. For severely aggressive pets, we do reserve the right to refuse to groom.

Warm Water Hydrobath

The hydrobath is able to clean and revitalise your dog in a more effective and convenient way than hand washing alone. The hydrobath water spray produces a unique hydro-combing action that massages and stimulates the skin, so not only is it a most effective way of washing your dog but it also provides a therapeutic water massage. This helps with blood circulation, relieves tired muscles and has been found to be beneficial for arthritis sufferers and older dogs. Water and Shampoo penetrates the coat getting right to the skin removing dry dead skin cells, shedding hair and undercoat, embedded flea eggs and other matter that can be hidden and hard to get rid of, especially for dogs with longer and thicker coats.

Grooming Clipping and Styling

Some dogs have fur which if left unkept develops knots and matting causing great discomfort to the animal. Matted fur is also a great breeding ground for fleas and can create skin irritation and skin infection. Long coats can take a lot of time and effort to control with just hand brushing. Many breeds with longer or thicker fur benefit greatly from being trimmed or clipped at regular intervals, making the dog much more comfortable and a lot easier for you to maintain a healthy coat.

Nail Trimming

It's very important to check a dogs nails regularly for overgrowth, damage or problems. Overgrown nails can cause your dog pain, discomfort and in some cases an inability to walk correctly. A thorough check is done on your pets nails at each appointment and trimmed if necessary.

Flea Control and Prevention

Fleas!! Parasites with mouthparts adapted for piercing skin and sucking blood...

They drive your dog crazy and can be very harmful to pets if left to breed without preventative treatment. Regular hydrobaths with flea prevention treatments can help control fleas but the best way to prevent fleas is with a monthly topical treatment. Muddy Mutts can advise you on the different treatments available, also the most suitable and effective flea prevention products.

Ear Inspection and Clean

Dogs can get dirt, seeds or other foreign matter in their ears which can cause long term problems, each time your dog is groomed their ears are checked and cleaned. Prevention is always better than cure. If any ear problems are found during inspection we would always advise to consult your vet.
